Natalie Freeman earned her B.S. in Biopsychology (emphasis Neuroscience) from the University of California, Santa Barbara and then received her Ph.D. in Biomedical Sciences (emphasis Biochemistry and Molecular Biology) from the James H. Quillen College of Medicine at East Tennessee State University. Now at the University of Tennessee Medical Center, Dr. Freeman directs and coordinates the Heart Lung Vascular Institute’s national registries and Joint Commission Core Measures: American College of Cardiology/National Cardiovascular Data Registry (ICD, CathPCI, ACTION GWTG, and Mission Lifeline), Get with the Guidelines Heart Failure, Society of Thoracic Surgeon Registries (Cardiac and Thoracic), TAVR, and the Vascular Quality Initiative Registry. Joint Commission Core Measures Heart Failure, Pneumonia, and AMI.
