Dr. Gregor earned an M.S. and a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from Aalborg University, Denmark, in 1988 and 1991, respectively. Following graduation, he joined the Department of Computer Science at UT where he rose through the ranks and ultimately obtained the rank of Professor in 2005. He is currently with the Department of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science. He has held an Adjunct position with the Department of Radiology since 2001. His research interests focus on the general area of computed tomography with emphasis on iterative reconstruction and the associated computational cost. He has a long standing working relationship with both the UT Medical Center and Oak Ridge National Laboratory.
