Polymer Labs GPC220

GPC220-A2The Polymer Labs GPC-220 is a high temperature instrument designed to operate up to 220°C.  It contains three detectors: Precision Detector PD2040 (static light scattering); Viscotek 220 differential viscometer; and a Polymer Labs refractometer.  The column set installed in this instrument consists of the following three columns: Polymer Laboratories PLgel; 7.5×300 mm; 10 um; MIXED B. The calibration range is 6300 to 200,000 daltons using PE standards. The GPC-220 is excellent for polyolefin analysis, and the auto sampler allows for large numbers of samples to be run in minimal time. The wide variety of detection methods allows for reliable analysis of branched polymers and for using universal calibration and triple detection. A Polymer Labs PL-SP 260 high temperature sample preparation instrument is used to prepare the samples for the GPC220. This allows for the samples to be prepared and transferred to the autosampler vials at high temperature to prevent loss of dissolution.
