Aqueous GPC System

DSC00051The aqueous GPC system consists of a Waters model 510 pump, a Waters model U6K injector, and a Waters model R401 differential refractometer.  Data is collected and analyzed using Polymer Labs Cirrus software. The column set installed in this instrument consists of the following four columns:  PSS (Polymer Standards Service) suprema; 8×300 mm; 10 µm; 100, 3000, and 10,000 Å along with an 8×50, 10µm guard.  The instrument is calibrated in the molecular weight range of ≈600 up to 1,000,000 Daltons using a set of PEO/PEG standards.  The following additional set of four columns is available for aqueous applications: three Polymer Laboratories PLaquagel-OH; 7.5×300 mm; 8 µm; MIXED along with a 7.5×50, 8µm guard.
